Continuity of Care for Adolescents and Adults
We provide a variety of treatment options, which, comprise a continuum of mental health treatment. Our interdisciplinary team works together with each patient’s psychiatrist, family and the patient to decide the most effective treatment for the individual. Laurelwood's continuum includes:
Acute Inpatient Hospitalization
All patients entering Laurelwood’s program begin with a medical evaluation. The programs offer the structure, support and limits necessary for stabilizing emotions and behaviors, and improving communication skills. The program offers psycho-educational groups, intensive group therapy and specialized case management services, that include family work to help reintegrate patients into the community.
Day Partial/Intensive Outpatient
These levels of outpatient care offer flexible hours for people who have significant impairment in their daily functioning, but don’t need 24-hour supervision. This schedule allows patients to work and meet other obligations while participating in treatment. Outpatient hospitalization and Intensive outpatient services are available to adult and adolescent patients.
Aftercare Support
This weekly support group offers a bridge between hospitalization to outpatient care.
